Galaxy reached the Nedbank Cup final in May 2026, but the new season has been hard: one league win in nine games, a coaching change in October and an early exit from the Carling Knockout. This guide has every result so far, the coming fixtures, the coach situation and the club’s story from 2015 to today.

The league results come from the PSL match centre on psl.co.za. What stands out:
- The only league win so far was 3-2 away to Marumo Gallants in Rustenburg on 25 August.
- Galaxy did not score in five of their nine league games. They scored 7 goals and let in 12, a goal difference of minus 5.
- The Sundowns game on 11 August was close: Galaxy lost 3-2 at home to Sundowns, who led the log in early November.
- In the Carling Knockout, Wandile Duba scored a hat-trick for Kaizer Chiefs at FNB Stadium, which ended Galaxy’s cup run in the last 16.
Where TS Galaxy stand on the log
After nine league games, Galaxy had 7 points and were 12th of 16, 19 points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns. The team in 16th place goes down and the team in 15th goes into the promotion and relegation play-offs, so the gap to the bottom two matters more than the gap to the top this season. These are the dates on psl.co.za on 8 November 2026. Galaxy have a long break after the Polokwane game: there is no league game for them between 31 October and 27 November 2026. The home game against Durban City had no date on the PSL fixture list we read, so it should be added later.

Who Is the TS Galaxy Coach?
Bernard Parker, the former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana player who also played for Galaxy, took charge as caretaker in the 2025/26 season and led the team to the Nedbank Cup final. The club then kept him on as head coach for 2026/27.
After one win in the first seven league games, Parker left the club in the week of 13 October 2026. Esau Mtsweni, who works with the club’s young players, took temporary charge for the 3-0 defeat at Orlando Pirates on 13 October.
Chairman Tim Sukazi has said he wants a coach with a UEFA Pro licence. On 16 October 2026, AfricaSoccer reported that Galaxy had agreed terms with Bosnian coach Admir Adzem (some reports spell it Adzen), with only the final paperwork left. By 8 November 2026 we had not found a club statement confirming the appointment, so treat it as a report for now. We will update this page when the club names its coach.
The Story of TS Galaxy
From the lower leagues to a cup shock (2015 to 2019)
Tim Sukazi formed the club in 2015 and named it after himself.
On 18 May 2019, still a second-tier side, Galaxy beat Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 in the Nedbank Cup final at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban. Zakhele Lepasa scored a penalty deep in stoppage time, and coach Dan Malesela called it his greatest achievement. Galaxy were the first National First Division club to win the Nedbank Cup, and the win took them into the CAF Confederation Cup for 2019/20.
Into the Premiership (2020 to today)
In September 2020, the PSL approved Sukazi’s purchase of Highlands Park’s place in the top flight. Galaxy moved up to the Premiership for 2020/21 as the only Mpumalanga club in the league that season, playing home games at Mbombela Stadium.
In 2026, Galaxy reached a second Nedbank Cup final, but lost 2-1 to Durban City at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on 2 May 2026. Our Durban City FC guide covers that final from the winners’ side.
