Older Persons Grant: 2 October 2025
The Older Persons Grant was the first grant paid in the October 2025 regular SASSA payment cycle.

Why Were Children’s Grants Paid on 6 October 2025?

- Friday, 3 October — Disability Grants.

Was the SRD R370 Grant Paid on 2, 3 or 6 October 2025?
The SRD R370 grant did not use the same fixed 2, 3 and 6 October schedule as the three regular grant categories listed above.
SRD payments were connected to the beneficiary’s individual monthly approval and payment information. This means an approved SRD applicant should not use the Children’s Grant date or Older Persons Grant date as their own SRD payment date.

Did Beneficiaries Have to Withdraw the Grant on the Same Day?
No. A SASSA payment date tells beneficiaries when the scheduled payment for that grant category becomes available. It is not a deadline for withdrawing the money.
Beneficiaries receiving their grants through an account could leave the money there and access it later.
This matters when checking historical payment information because the transaction date and the date a person actually withdrew or spent the money can be different.
