A Changed Course
The Gary Player Country Club has had about R50 million of upgrades for 2026. The biggest change is a completely new first hole, a 470-metre par four. The 2026 tournament also honours Gary Player, South Africa’s nine-time Major champion, who designed the course.
Tickets and Getting There
- Tickets are sold on the official tournament ticket site, linked from nedbankgolfchallenge.com. Pro-Am tickets for the Tuesday start from R250.
- Music concerts are part of the tournament week at Sun City. Concert tickets are sold separately.
- Sun City is about two hours’ drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria. Book accommodation early, because Sun City is busy in December.
- Park at the main gate. The Sky Train takes you to the Welcome Walkway at the Gary Player Country Club.
