How to Check Your Unisa Application Status

  1. Go to Unisa’s myAdmin system at myadmin.unisa.ac.za, which Unisa links as “Track application status”.
  2. Follow the steps on the page, using the details from your application, such as your student number.
  3. Read the outcome. If Unisa asks for more documents, upload them before the date shown.
  4. If you are offered a place, accept it within the time Unisa gives you, then wait for registration to open.

Keep the cellphone number and email address you applied with active, because Unisa uses them to contact you.

Missed the 2027 Closing Date?

Unisa does not take late applications after a period closes. Your options are:

  • Second semester 2027: in past years, Unisa opened second-semester applications in about April or May, but only for qualifications with semester modules. Many programmes, such as the BEd and LLB, usually do not take second-semester students. The 2027 dates have not been announced yet.
  • Another university or college: some institutions still take late or second-round applications. See universities still open for 2027 applications and TVET college applications 2027.
  • Short learning programmes: Unisa’s short courses open on 2 November 2026 and do not follow the main application periods.
