Quick answer: The NYDA Grant Programme gives young South African entrepreneurs aged 18 to 35 money and business support to start or grow a business. One person or business can receive at most R200,000 in grants over a lifetime (cooperatives in agriculture and technology up to R250,000). You apply online on the NYDA ERP portal, must complete Business Management Training, and pitch your business for 10 minutes. The grant is free to apply for, and it does not have to be paid back.

The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) is the government agency responsible for youth development in South Africa. Its grant is one of the few business funding options in the country designed only for young people.
