2025 Application Guide
Overview
A learner’s licence is a permit that allows you to drive a vehicle under specific conditions while learning to drive. It’s governed by the National Road Traffic Act, 1996 and is valid for 24 months.

Motorcycles (125cc or less for 16+, any size for 17+)
Code 2
Light vehicles (GVM ≤3,500kg) for 17+
Code 3
Heavy vehicles (GVM >3,500kg) for 18+
